By train

You don’t need a car to get here – and you don’t need one during your stay if you’re intending to walk or cycle around the area. There’s a TGV station at the other end of the village, less than 1km from the house (we’ll pick you up for free). Alternatively, in winter, the overnight Eurostar from London St Pancras stops in nearby Bourg St Maurice (15 minutes drive – we can pick you up or arrange a taxi if needed). You can also use the local train services to explore the valley or visit the cities further afield – has timetables.

By Car

We’re on the edge of Landry, just off the D87 towards Peisey-Vallandry and about 3 km from the N90 national road through the valley. Ask us for detailed directions if you need them. We’re 2 hours from Grenoble and Lyon, around 45 mins from Albertville, and 10 mins from Bourg St Maurice. It takes around 9 hours to drive from Calais to the farmhouse. The route is motorway and dual carriageway until the last few kilometres from Moutiers. See for route planning and toll information.

By plane

We’re easy to reach by plane. The international hubs of Lyon and Geneva are served all year round by EasyJet and British Airways, and the airports are just 2 hours drive from the house. In winter, EasyJet, Jet2 and Ryanair fly into Chambery or Grenoble – only 1hr30 away by car. The latter also has summer flights.

In summer, the best way to get to the valley from the airport is by hiring a car, or using our transfer service (see below). Depending on your flight times, you can also catch a train from Lyon or Geneva to Landry, or we can help book taxi transfers if required. In winter there are also regular bus transfers from the airports to Aime and Bourg St Maurice.

Airport transfers

We can provide reasonably priced airport transfers from Lyon, Geneva, Chambery or Grenoble (price varies depending on the time of year, number of people and the airport). Contact us for a quote (please have ready your estimated flight arrival and departure times, airport and number of people).

Ski lift transport

In the winter and summer seasons, there is a free shuttle bus service between Landry and the lifts in Peisey or the funicular to Arc 1600 in Bourg St Maurice – it runs approximately four times a day in each direction. Or, if you're staying catered, you can use our free resort minibus service to Montchavin-les Coches (La Plagne). The lifts are just a short drive from the farmhouse.
