high altitude skiing and boarding

Maison Caramel is just a short drive from the ski lifts of Paradiski. The resort  rises to over 3400m and has 420 kms of lift-connected slopes and 144 lifts. There are beautiful forest runs, several nursery areas, snowboard parks, and two glaciers.

Technically part of the Peisey-Vallandry ski resort (although actually closer to Montchavin-Les Coches in La Plagne), Landry is right in the heart of Paradiski - a massive ski area created by the joining of les Arcs and la Plagne by the Vanoise Express cable car. The Montchavin Les Coches and Peisey Vallandry valleys are also heaven for off-piste adventurers... and a favourite spot for international freeriders.

Les Arcs is one of the top snow boarding venues in Europe, thanks to its superb board park, permanent half pipe and long, wide runs. For skiers, there are lots of challenging black runs, wide and fast reds, gentle blues and some great off-piste.

If you prefer cross country skiing, or want to learn, there are excellent facilities and trails in the area. For beginners, try the courses at the Centre Nordique in Peisey-Nancroix, a short drive from the chalet.

It's just a short drive to the ski lifts from the house. Catered and half board guests can use our courtesy shuttle service to the lifts in Montchavin Les Coches. Or you can use the free village shuttle bus linking with the ski lifts in Peisey-Vallandry and the funicular to Arc 1600 in Bourg Saint Maurice.

You can ski virtually all year round thanks to the glacier skiing in Tignes. It's about 45mins drive from the farmhouse. See Maison Caramel packages for our catered ski holiday offers. We're also happy to arrange off-piste trips with qualified mountain guides for advanced skiers and boarders. Ask us for details.

If you fancy trying somewhere new, the house is also within 25-60 mins drive of over 15 different resorts, including the Three Valleys, Tignes Val d’Isere, Sainte Foy, La Rosiere, and Valmorel. If you don’t have a car, try our ski safari package.
