About the holiday

Ease into your day in the mountains with a dynamic early morning yoga session with a focus on asanas that help build strength, and improve your balance and overall flexibility. Fuel up on a healthy breakfast, and then head out into the fresh air and mountains.

You walk at your own pace on one of our self-guided walks from the house into the surrounding meadows and forests. We also offer the option of a minibus drop off/pick up service that will allow you to explore the Vanoise National Park, famous for its ibex, bearded vultures and rare alpine flora, and other lesser known walks in this beautiful area.

If you fancy more of an adrenalin buzz, you can also try white water rafting, mountain biking or cycling – all within easy reach of the chalet (extra charges apply).

On your return, unwind on a deckchair in the garden, or for a bit of extra indulgence, take timeout in the sauna, or book a massage and spa treatment in your room. In the late afternoon, join a restorative yoga session to help your body rest and repair itself more effectively. After that, you have some more free time before sitting down to a delicious vegetarian dinner at the communal table prepared where possible using produce from our organic garden (wine optional!).

It’s an intensive, invigorating combination of walking and yoga that will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for anything.

Your yoga instructor

The sessions are led by our qualified yoga instructor, Sylvia Fairclough RYT 2009. They are designed to complement mountain sports activity by increasing your flexibility and strength, as well as enhancing your focus and sense of well being. She teaches Hatha Flow (Vinyasa) Yoga. This type of yoga uses the breath to link one yoga pose to another, creating a smooth flow. Sylvia's nursing background means she places a lot of importance on proper body alignment, and uses props as necessary to help your body move into the poses with stability and confidence. She can adapt the sessions to suit all levels from beginners to seasoned practitioners.

Equipment hire, flights and insurance are not included in the holiday price. Holiday cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. Please bring outdoor clothing suitable for the alpine environment.
